Default Confused in Cumbria

Hi all. I'm struggling to find my way around this forum. Never used one before. Not user friendly are they. Don't even think I've posted this in the right spot, but can't find new thread thingy anywhere else! Wanted to start new thread about bushcraft. Where do I do that? Cheers. Minty.

Hallo.

To stop people from just signing up and then spamming messages (the robots are getting smarter, see) we ask people to first post an introduction in the Intro section: http://www.p2s-prepared2survive.co.u...isplay.php?f=6

Once we've seen that you're a real human interested in posting preparedness stuff and not posting links for 20% off widgets then an admin person will lift the restrictions that stop you posting elsewhere on the forum.

Try looking in "The GreatOutdoors" sub forum its is just below the shooting section, there you will have a choice as to where you want to post 👍

Once restrictions are lifted, check out the front page and if you scroll down, you'll see that the forum is separated out into themed sections each with several forum topics.

Find the one with the topic you think it'll fit best and once you're in that part you'll see the New Thread button at the top left of the thread stack.

Hi MB when you log on you get to the front page, all the different subjects are listed there, you just scroll down to the subject heading you want.
But also look out for subheading under most of the main heading,as there can be 3 or 4 subheadings.
In this case click on the main heading and you go to that section, where you should find the subheadings which you can then click on.

IF IN DOUBT go down the headings page to OFF TOPIC which is near to the bottom of the headings page and post on that, most times an admin bod will come along and put it in the correct section especially if you ask them to do so.

Main thing is to get stuck in as we all appreciate that attitude.

It took me three attempts to make an intro post and then spent a couple of weeks stumbling around looking for what I wanted ...................... and I am a retired IT lecturer !

Don't feel bad - you'll get used to it - it is logical once you get used to it.

Hi there - I am in Cumbria too (not for long as we are moving South).

Hit the new posts button or search any topics or have a look at the different sub categories on the main forum page. There are lots of ways to access stuff and a play around will see you familiarised in no time! The mods are pretty fab if stuff gets posted in the wrong bit - don't worry and enjoy
